Location
El Gouna is a modern resort town located on Egypt’s Red Sea, 12 miles north of Hurghada. El Gouna is Egypt's greenest city, being the most environmentally-friendly town in all of Egypt. It’s built along the shore and consists of 20 islands surrounded by lagoons, coral reefs and sandy beaches. Among these are Zeytuna Beach located on its own island, Mangroovy Beach, Moods Beach and other hotel beaches. El Gouna is home to a stunning variety and excellent quality of cuisine, with over 100 different dining outlets to choose from ranging from fine dining to casual as well as a variety of cafes and coffee shops.
Cairo, Egypt’s sprawling capital, is set on the Nile River. At its heart is Tahrir Square and the vast Egyptian Museum, a trove of antiquities including royal mummies and gilded King Tutankhamun artifacts. Nearby, Giza is the site of the iconic pyramids and Great Sphinx, dating to the 26th century BC. In Gezira Island’s leafy Zamalek district, 187m Cairo Tower affords panoramic city views.
